Code of Conduct
Last Updated June 12, 2026
Welcome! This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for participation in all private communities, Slack workspaces, and technical groups managed by Zach Rattner, such as the Local AI Slack Group.
These spaces are designed for senior engineering leaders, architects, and practitioners to collaborate on high-level technical challenges. To ensure a secure, respectful, and high-signal environment for all members, participation in any of our communities requires adherence to the following guidelines.
Strictly No Proprietary Information
Sharing confidential, classified, or proprietary information is strictly forbidden. Given the executive nature of our groups and our discussions surrounding enterprise architectures, security is paramount.
- Do: Discuss general technical concepts, open-source pipelines, compliance frameworks, and vetted architectural blueprints.
- Do Not: Post sensitive internal company data, proprietary source code, private database schemas, trade secrets, internal communications, or customer PII.
- Rule of Thumb: If it is protected by an NDA, violates your company’s security policies, or is something you wouldn’t present on a public stage, do not share it here.
Respectful and Professional Conduct
We are a global community of peers operating at the highest levels of the technology sector. We expect all interactions to be conducted with respect, empathy, and professional courtesy.
- Be Inclusive: Use welcoming and inclusive language.
- Be Respectful: Honor differing viewpoints, architectural choices, and technical backgrounds.
- Be Constructive: Provide and gracefully accept constructive feedback.
- Zero Tolerance: Harassment, discriminatory language, personal attacks, insulting/derogatory comments, and exclusion will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
No Commercial Marketing or Hype
Our communities exist to bypass commercial marketing hype and focus on technical reality.
- Do not use these groups for unsolicited vendor pitches, sales outreach, or aggressive recruiting.
- Keep discussions grounded in engineering, practical execution, and real-world results.
Keep the Signal-to-Noise Ratio High
Members are vetted to ensure a high-signal environment. Help us keep it that way.
- Please search the channels or forums before asking a question to see if your topic has already been addressed.
- Keep discussions relevant to the specific focus of the community or channel you are posting in.
Reporting and Enforcement
Violations of this Code of Conduct are taken very seriously. If you experience or witness behavior that violates these guidelines, please contact the group administrators via direct message.
All reports will be reviewed and investigated promptly and confidentially. Community administrators reserve the right to immediately remove any member who violates these rules—particularly regarding the sharing of proprietary information or engaging in harassment—without warning.
By participating in any community, forum, or Slack workspace managed by Zach Rattner, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct, the Privacy Policy, and Terms of Use.
